Who it’s for

Designers, video editors, podcasters, and small studios who use several generative AI providers and want one place to plan, run, compare, and revisit the work.

Problem

Generative media now spans dozens of models across several providers. Picking the right one, wiring files into its input schema, and keeping track of what produced what is manual work that lives in browser tabs and download folders.

How it works

  1. 1

Describe the result you want and attach the files to work from. The agent breaks the request into steps, from image editing and upscaling to video, lipsync, voice, music, and 3D, and edits such as trimming, resizing, and adding audio run free on your own device.

  2. 2

For each step, Recut searches the catalogues of your connected providers, ranks models by known quality, and shows them as cards with prices and an estimated cost for the job. Accept the plan once and it runs every step, feeding each result into the next.

  3. 3

The agent checks each result, asks when it needs a file or a decision from you, and stops before spending more than you approved. Each input and output becomes a node in a timeline you can revert to, redo, and feed into the next request.

Key features

  • Image generation and editing, upscaling, background removal, video, lipsync, talking avatars, dubbing, voice, transcription, music, sound effects, stem separation, and 3D
  • Free editing on your own device: trim, join, resize, add audio, overlay, extract frames, and convert
  • An included agent plans multi-step jobs, with model picks ranked from the live fal and Replicate catalogues and a cost estimate before anything runs
  • Any model's schema becomes typed fields and media slots, validated before it runs
  • Before-and-after slider, video, audio, interactive 3D, and text viewers
  • Timeline with revert, compare, and use-as-input, rebuilt after a restart
  • Bring your own keys: every run is billed to your own provider account, with keys kept in the macOS keychain or encrypted in your browser
  • A native Mac app and a web app, in light, dark, or match-system appearance

Inside Recut

Screens from the current build. Details may change as the product develops.

Storyboard — one request became a narrated, scored 20-second ad in four scenes. Every keyframe, clip and narration shows the model it ran on, its provider and its price, and the timeline on the right keeps all 15 artifacts at a total of $0.62.
Finished film — the scenes are assembled on the Mac for free and play inline. Save it, use it as the input for the next request, or ask for a change like a slower scene or a warmer narrator.
It asks when it needs you — midway through a four-step teaser, Recut made two posters and waits for your pick before recording the voiceover and resizing to 9:16 on the device.
Every version kept — each step lands on the timeline with its model, time and cost. Steps you redo keep their earlier versions, so you can switch back at any point.
